FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler spoke at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Wednesday, where he discussed the broadcast incentive auction. Wheeler said that this auction is still on track to begin in early 2016, and the current AWS-3 auction has been so successful that broadcasters are getting excited about this opportunity. “It is disappointing that broadcasters have brought suit to slow things down, but hopefully that will be argued in March and decided in May or June…so that we are in a position to go forward with the final rules,” Wheeler noted.
