FCC Shortens Bidding Rounds

The AWS-3 auction has been going on for a few weeks now and reached over $41 billion on Friday during Round 59. Wireless Week reported the FCC has shortened the bidding rounds with six 30-minute rounds instead of the previous four one-hour rounds. The FCC said in an announcement that it “sets the pace of the auction based upon the bidding activity and our assessment of the auction’s progress.” (Wireless Week)
