For 68 years, Antenna Products Corporation has been designing and manufacturing antennas and antenna systems for military and defense, government, aviation, transportation and wireless infrastructure industry. It has got decades of real world experience and the Mineral Springs, TX (hometown of IT’s own George Reed) company is known for its ability to supply high quality antennas for a broad range of applications including communications, navigation, RFID and machine-to-machine (M2M) networking.
The company’s client list is a Who’s Who in American defense and includes the U.S. Air Force (including support communications for Air Force One), the Navy, Army, Marine Corps, White House Communications Agency, NATO, Dept. of Defense, U.S. Homeland Security and the FBI. Antenna Products also knows the value of men and women who have served their country and advertises that it hires veterans. As America honors those who served in the military today, Antenna Products clicked it heels together for all veterans and took special care to recognize a dozen of its nearly 70-member staff that served in uniform. And, it seems, Antenna Products truly is a pretty good place to work after a stint in the service. Ken Cooper, the company’s costing estimator, joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1970 and enjoyed being part of the elite Marine Corps Embassy Security Group with assignments in a number of U.S. Embassies including Hong Kong. He joined the active Marine Corps Reserves in 1979, and a little more than a year later signed on with Antenna Products where he sees a project through start to finish, on-site in the field, answering questions, making suggestions and helping guide a project through its successful completion. And, while he still misses military service—he retired from the Reserves in 1997—Cooper, 64, has a similar sense of camaraderie at work today. “It’s pretty cool. I enjoy it and it is fun.”

Here is Antenna Products’ complete list of veterans contained in its salute today:
