After the hearing, Jonathan Adelstein, president and CEO of PCIA—The Wireless Infrastructure Association issued a statement saying, “PCIA is pleased that Chairman Walden and Ranking Member Eshoo are building on their resolute leadership to facilitate greater deployment of wireless broadband infrastructure. As I testified before their panel in July, America’s economic and technological future depends on our capacity to meet the exploding consumer demand for wireless mobile data. That means building and upgrading wireless infrastructure facilities of all kinds across the country, especially with the Internet of Things and 5G rapidly approaching. PCIA is excited that the issues explored at House and Senate hearings this summer and fall are getting the attention they deserve.
