American Tower Reconsiders Expanding in Africa

While American Tower Corporation focuses on building and acquiring towers throughout the United States, they have also been expanding into other parts of the country including South America and Africa. However, American Tower has dropped its plans to acquire Bharti Airtel’s 15,000-strong African towers portfolio. American Tower has been looking to expand in larger international markets, such as South Africa and these particular sites didn’t meet the company’s selective criteria.
