Half the antennas have been removed from a 198-foot AT&T cell tower in Terre Haute, Indiana. Workers from S & S Communications removed the antennas, which weigh about 2,500 pounds each, and have been a part of the tower since the 50s. The equipment was removed to make the tower lighter so new transmission equipment could be added to enhance the network. The old equipment was using on the Bell/AT&T network, and haven’t been functional for years.
