Black & Veatch announced that Barbie Bigelow will take over as their new chief information officer succeeding Dan Kieny. She will work out of Black & Veatch’s Overland Park headquarters.  Bigelow has more than three decades of experience in IT, including positions with Jacobs Engineering Group and TASC, a spinoff of Northrup Grumman, which provided professional services for the intelligence community and public sector as well as Lockheed Martin and IBM.

“Barbie has a strong record of improving bottom-line performance and fueling top-line growth,” said Steve Edwards, Chairman and CEO of Black & Veatch.

“Collaborative software, 3D modeling, drones and other technologies are dramatically reshaping how we help clients plan for and execute on their most critical infrastructure projects,” said Bigelow. “It’s an extraordinary moment in engineering, and I’m ready to help Black & Veatch expand its leadership position and prepare for future growth.”
