2021 Fiber Connect Opens in Nashville to a Capacity Crowd

The 2021 Fiber Connect conference opened in Nashville on Sunday at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center and will run through Wednesday. Show promoters have issued a statement saying they have reached capacity for the venue and are not allowing further attendees in person. The show bills itself as “the Leading Optical Fiber Business & Technology Event in North America” stating that the show represents “the annual convening of the vast ecosystem of innovative suppliers and operators who are critical to communications, computing, innovation and commerce.”

Sunday’s pre-registration agenda opened with various workshops and Opening Remarks from Joseph Jones, Vice President, On Trac, Inc.

Yesterday, the show officially kicked off with a keynote from Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and a State of the Association address by Gary Bolton, President & CEO, Fiber Broadband Association. Other keynotes followed from David Pistacchio, Operating Partner, DigitalBridge and Hu Meena, Chairman & CEO, C Spire.  

Today’s agenda opens at 8 a.m. EST with remarks from Kevin Morgan, Chief Marketing Officer, Clearfield; FBA Vice Chairman of the Board followed by a session entitled “A View from the Top: Today’s Challenges and Tomorrow’s Opportunities.” The panel consists of leaders from major fiber broadband technology solutions providers and allows them to offer their opinions on issues facing the fiber sector. The moderator is Jennifer Fritzsche, Head of North American Telecom and Digital Infrastructure, Greenhill & Co, along with panelists: Robert Conger, Senior Vice President, Technology and Strategy, ADTRAN; Matt Collins, Chief Marketing Officer, Calix; Tyson Marian, Chief Commercial Officer, Plume.
