ADRF’s Dennis Burns Elected VP of Safer Buildings Coalition

Advanced RF Technologies, Inc. (ADRF), an in-building Distributed Antenna System provider for public safety and commercial radio frequencies, announced yesterday its Director of Public Safety, Dennis Burns, has been elected as vice president of the Safer Buildings Coalition (SBC). Burns was first elected to the Board of Directors in 2019 as secretary.

SBC is an independent trade association advocating for improved in-building wireless communication for public safety professionals through technology, and is at the forefront advancing ideas, codes and standards to make buildings safer. Members of the SBC include public safety professionals, wireless carriers, building operators, technology companies, Authorities Having Jurisdiction and other industry professionals. 

“I am honored that SBC members have placed their trust in me as their next vice president to help lead this great organization,” said Burns. “I am passionate about the public safety space and look forward to working with the new board and the rest of the coalition to continue advancing our mission through education and improving the codes and standards to make our buildings safer for the inhabitants and our first responders.”

In accordance with his commitment to the SBC, Burns will spend a year as vice president, a year as president, followed by a final year as immediate past president. In addition to his role on the Board of Directors, Burns is also a member of the SBC’s Codes and Standards workgroup and the Public Safety Technology workgroup.
