AT&T 5G is now live for consumers in 10 markets. Millions of consumers and businesses across Birmingham, AL, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, Providence, RI, Rochester, NY, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose, CA market areas can now access AT&T’s 5G network using the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G.

AT&T 5G availability will continue to expand – including service in Boston, Bridgeport, CT, Buffalo, NY, Las Vegas, Louisville, KY, New York City, and other markets – as the carrier works toward offering nationwide coverage in the first half of 2020.

AT&T customers can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G in AT&T stores nationwide or online. For a limited time, customers can get the device for $350 when purchased on a qualifying device installment plan, unlimited plan and trade in.

With the introduction of AT&T 5G, the company now offers its next generation network over both 5G and what it calls 5G+ to best serve different applications and customer needs. More details are available at att.com/5GforYou.

Additionally, customers who travel outside AT&T’s available 5G coverage area with a compatible device will still be able to connect to the network on AT&T 5G Evolution and LTE. The company says LTE customers are already benefiting from network upgrades while preparing it for 5G. AT&T offers 5G Evolution (areas with optimized LTE technologies) in over 550 markets and it offers customers speeds it says are up to twice as fast as LTE.
