Competitive Carriers Association’s (CCA) 2019 Mobile Carriers Show (MCS) is heading to Denver next month with an impressive keynote line-up and conference program that will explore business strategies, policy initiatives, and technology innovations, particularly regarding 5G, that will drive the competitive carrier ecosystem for months to come.  MCS brings together more decision-makers from competitive carrier companies than any other industry event in North America and takes place at the Gaylord Rockies, April 8-10.

5G will be a focus of the conference program, and leading industry analyst Chetan Sharma will host a keynote panel taking a critical look at 5G, what it means to the wireless industry and how carriers can participate in new opportunities.

Speakers include Paul Challoner, VP Network Product Solutions, Ericsson; Greg O’Connor, VP of Network Engineering and Deployment, Sprint; and Craig Sparks, Chief Innovation Officer, C Spire. CCA’s President & CEO Steve Berry will sit down with Charlie Ergen, Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board of DISH, for a one-on-one discussion on ways DISH is innovating to meet consumer demand as the mobile industry moves to 5G.  A keynote luncheon panel, “Women in Wireless,” sponsored by T-Mobile, will provide insight into policy, technology, and industry culture.

In partnership with CCA, Award Solutions will host a special 5G Integration Experience led by Mark Harms, Senior Consultant – Technology for Business, at Award Solutions.  The session will provide a tactile, engaging approach for anyone wishing to learn about 5G. Participants will construct network models of the key 5G building blocks, design networks for specific network deployment scenarios, and learn about anticipated challenges.  CCA also will offer several educational sessions that will focus on 5G including opportunities and challenges for smaller carriers, spectrum strategies (including new and unlicensed), converged technologies for wireless and fixed wireless networks, and new handset strategies.

On Monday, April 8, CCA will host a half-day seminar on private LTE, produced by The Besen Group.Speakers will present private LTE use cases and provide attendees with an in-depth look at the development of a private LTE business case with a positive return on investment.  Later that day is CCA’s Fun Run/Walk (5K or 1-mile) benefitting the Food Bank of the Rockies. Runners and walkers will have the opportunity to experience Colorado’s great outdoors while networking with industry colleagues. The finish line ends at the largest networking event of the show, the MCS Cookout: The Big Grill, sponsored by Sprint, and is open to all attendees.

“CCA’s 2019 Mobile Carriers Show will feature a number of leading industry executives in one of the country’s hottest tech cities,” said Berry. “The keynote lineup features some of the industry’s top thought leaders, and the educational program will contain discussions on the most relevant topics in the competitive mobile ecosystem including the road to 5G, spectrum strategies, cybersecurity, and customer loyalty programs.”

“With several new companies exhibiting on the show floor, in addition to the T-Mobile 5G Tech Experience Truck, attendees will see new developing technologies throughout the industry,” Berry added.  “CCA’s top-notch speaker lineup, excellent networking events, and lively exhibit hall will make for a show that’s not to be missed.”

The MCS conference program will delve into a variety of interesting topics, including innovative small cell solutions, data challenges and manipulation strategies, and how spectrum is powering IoT, telehealth, and precision agriculture, among others.  Speakers also will focus on the most pressing policy issues for competitive carriers with discussions on infrastructure deployment, access to spectrum, access to federal funding, network resiliency initiatives, and public safety issues.

In addition to the Fun Run/Walk and MCS Cookout, several networking events are open to attendees.  The keynote luncheon and cocktail receptions in the exhibit hall provide ample opportunities for attendees to network and make new industry contacts.  CCA’s 2019 Mobile Carriers Show is a must-attend industry event.  Register early for the best rates.
