GoFundMe pages have been set up to cover funeral expenses for Philip Harley (left) and Michael Thomas

“At this time we are unsure of the motive of the shooting, however, we ask that anyone that has information on this incident to please contact the Jacksonville (FL) Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers,” Officer Christian Hancock of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office told Inside Towers yesterday. Hancock said they were not aware of any copper being taken from the site.

Phillip Harley, 37, of Thomaston, GA and Michael Thomas, 33, also from Georgia, were identified by authorities as the murder victims in the double homicide at a Crown Castle site in Jacksonville, FL that took place last Thursday morning. Police said both victims were subcontractors doing work on the AT&T electrical equipment at the cell tower.

Harley was President of Harley And Sibs Logistics, a Georgia LLC formed in March of 2019. He is survived by his wife Kelli Brook and their three sons. A GoFundMe page with a goal of $20,000 to help cover funeral expenses had reached $21,314 as of 4 p.m. EDT yesterday.

On the GoFundMe page for Michael Thomas, the site organizer posted this memory: “To those that knew him Mike had one of the biggest hearts on earth. He was generous to a fault sometimes.” Thomas’ site had a goal of $3,000 and had raised $3,650 by close of business yesterday.
