Commissioner Nathan Simington Names Initial Staff

New FCC Commissioner Nathan Simington has begun to staff his office. Erin Boone is his acting wireless advisor and Jonathan Cannon is Simington’s acting wireline advisor.

Boone will also handle matters before the International Bureau, Public Safety & Homeland Security Bureau, and the Office of Engineering and Technology. She was most recently Deputy Division Chief in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau’s Competition and Infrastructure Division, where she led a team responsible for matters and rulemakings addressing mobile data and voice services, mobile spectrum holdings, and mobile broadband mapping.

Cannon will also handle matters before the Enforcement Bureau. He comes from the Wireline Bureau’s Pricing Policy Division. As an Attorney Advisor, he focused on intercarrier compensation and access stimulation. He also assisted with the COVID-19 Telehealth Program.

Tyler Bridegan is Simington’s acting media advisor and will also handle matters before the Consumer & Governmental Affairs Bureau. Bridegan most recently was an Attorney Advisor in the Media Bureau’s Video Division, where he worked on television broadcast issues including foreign ownership of stations, station sale and purchases, and the television license renewal process.
