A group of D.C.-based telecom lawyers, appropriately titled The Fine Print Band will be performing in a battle of the bands contest called Law Rocks next week, and have chosen the WIA Foundation as their charity of choice.
A band spokesman said the Foundation was chosen because it supports training and education for the wireless workforce. Law Rocks, which raises funds for worthy charities, will take place in Washington, D.C. on September 23, at the legendary 9:30 Club. The Fine Print Band will feature Jonathan Adelstein, President and CEO of WIA, on harmonica to accompany them on several numbers.
“We’re excited to have Jonathan join us on stage,” Partner at Shulman Rogers and organizer of The Fine Print, Alan Tilles, told Inside Towers. “After rocking his harmonica with Robbie Krieger of the Doors, Jonathan has shown how good he is! We think that he’ll add so much to our sound!”
The better the band scores, the more donations the WIA Foundation will receive. There are three categories to the score: donations, ticket/sponsorship sales, and performance. All donations made on behalf of The Fine Print will go directly to the WIA Foundation and assist in 1/3 of their overall score. To purchase a sponsorship, ticket, or to donate click here.
