The FCC continues to prepare for the 24 GHz auction and others for this year. The 28 GHz auction closed Thursday, Inside Towers reported. Auction 101 raised more than $702 million in provisional bids.

The agency is expected to give specifics this week concerning when payments are due and other post-auction procedures. The FCC also plans this week to release the bidding start date and upfront payment deadline for the 24 GHz auction. The agency won’t release the names of bidders in either auction until after bidding closes in Auction 102, the 24 GHz auction. Commission employees working on the auctions are paid out of auction proceeds.  Comments?
