Grande Communications to Acquire Harris Broadband, LP

Harris Broadband, LP has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Grande Communications, a division of Astound Broadband, the sixth largest cable operator in the United States, according to the financial advisor on the deal, Houlihan Lokey. Harris provides fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services, offering high-speed internet, video, and voice services in areas of Central Texas. Upon closing, the acquisition will add over 6,000 customers, 12,500 homes passed, and 150 miles of fiber plant to Grande’s operations in Texas. The transaction increases Grande’s broadband network within Central Texas.

Founded in 2005, Harris currently operates in Brownwood and Early, TX, providing FTTH technology to deliver high-speed internet, video, and voice services to customers. In addition to its FTTH options, Harris has deployed a Gigabit Passive Optical Network, Local Area Networks, and Wide Area Networks in and around the Brownwood and Early areas.   Continue Reading

Houlihan Lokey served as the exclusive financial advisor to Harris and assisted in marketing, structuring, and negotiating the transaction on behalf of the company.
