Inside Towers Editorial Team Set For Connect (X)

Inside Towers will be in (almost) full force at the upcoming Connect (X), running October 4-7, in Orlando, FL at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. Managing Editor Jim Fryer, Business Editor John Celentano and Technology Editor J. Sharpe Smith will be in attendance. Washington Bureau Chief Leslie Stimson will be coordinating publishing efforts from her office in D.C.

Fryer will handle the tough Golf Outing beat on Monday the 4th at the Hawk’s Landing Golf Club in Orlando. (All scores and colorful language will be strictly off the record.)

On Tuesday, October 5 at 9 a.m., John Celentano will be the moderator for a panel entitled  “Digital Site Deployment Faster, More Accurate Than Traditional Network Rollout.” Celentano’s panel will explore the latest in digitization technologies and approaches that reduce the complexity of site development. Panelists include: Chad Tuttle, B+T Group; Manish Mangal, Tech Mahindra; and, Dan Zygmunt, Sitetracker.

On Wednesday, October 6 at 8:30 a.m., Fryer will moderatePrepping Fiber Networks for 5G” focusing on the role of fiber in delivering 5G connectivity and what solutions and strategies are available to help fiber providers work with 5G operators to meet aggressive expansion goals. Panelists include: Scot Bohaychyk, Wireless Clearfield, Seán Adam, AFL and Brandon T. Reed, JD, Reed & Associates, L.L.C.

Later that day at 3:15 p.m., Celentano will moderate another panel entitled, “Solving the Rural Broadband Coverage Gap,” that will look at the various initiatives designed to deliver funds to broadband providers to help with build outs, how those funds will be allocated and related opportunities for infrastructure providers. Panelists for this session include: Jennifer Fritzsche, Greenhill & Co, Craig Snyder, VIKOR Teleconstruction, Mark Prohaska, NextCity Networks, and Kate Sauvain, UScellular.
