Lease Advisors donated approximately 30,000 free prepaid calling card minutes to active and veteran military personnel during Q4 of 2015. The Los Angeles-based telecom lease acquisition firm announced the milestone yesterday. The firm uses its community outreach program to assist service members and their families at military bases and VA hospitals across the nation.

Last August, Lease Advisors pledged to donate more than 300,000 minutes of talk time to military personnel and their families who live in the communities where it completes lease purchase transactions. Each donation, made in partnership with the landowner(s) whose leases are acquired, enables deployed servicemen and women, local veterans, and military families to remain connected with loved ones via free, prepaid calling card minutes.

“We are proud to be able to support those in need within the communities where we conduct business. It is an honor and privilege to be able to help those who protect and serve, so that we may enjoy the freedoms we hold so dear,” said Shannon Diem, Lease Advisors Senior VP/Marketing. “Our partnership with Cell Phones For Soldiers is just one of the many ways our community program helps keep military families connected, when it is needed the most.”

Cell Phones For Soldiers was founded by Robbie and Brittany Bergquist of Norwell, MA, to serve troops and veterans with free communication services and emergency funding. To offset the often insurmountable cost of calling home, Lease Advisors will contribute prepaid calling cards or cash donations to further the organization’s mission.
