A report authorized by the Australian parliament dispels the myth that the COVID-19 virus has any ties to 5G. An Australian parliamentary communications committee researched the rumors, reports VOACambodia.com, and has determined that the internet rumors suggesting a connection are groundless.
“There is unfortunately a lot of very silly misinformation out there,” stated Australia’s chief medical officer, Brendan Murphy. “There is absolutely no evidence about 5G doing anything in the coronavirus space. I have unfortunately received a lot of communication from these conspiracy theorists myself. It is complete nonsense. 5G has got nothing at all to do with coronavirus.”
Conspiracy theories making the rounds online persist in attempting to establish a relationship between the coronavirus pandemic and the 5G rollout. A rash of cell tower fires in Europe are thought to be the handiwork of conspiracy theorists striking back against the delivery system, though no one has claimed responsibility for the damage inflicted on the cell towers.
Supporting the previous assertion of the World Health Organization, the Australian parliamentary report sees no link between COVID-19 and radio waves. The report notes that such a link “has no basis in science” and is “biologically and physically impossible.” The health team in New South Wales, Australia confirms that the virus is spread by droplets released through the air by coughing or sneezing, or contamination spread by touching unwashed surfaces, objects, or hands.
