MVG announced they have launched the EME Guard Plus, a personal RF safety monitor they have called “their most advanced monitor to date.” Based on 15 years of feedback from the field, having developed a line of EME guard technology, the EME Guard Plus sports a number of features. The monitor is designed for those working close to emitting antennas for the purposes of installation or maintenance work, plus those visiting tower sites. The EME Guard Plus continuously monitors and records the electromagnetic field level and alerts the user to potential over exposure.

Features include:

  • Durable design and practical armband
  • Lighter and easier to carry on the job
  • A six-point LED warning system, accompanied by an adjustable audio alarm, designed to alert the user when they have reached critical thresholds of exposure between 5 and 137 V/m.

Offering data logging and file transfer via USB, this new model has an upper detection limit of 350 V/m, user-adjustable reference thresholds between 28 V/m and 137 V/m, and can monitor frequency bands down to 1 MHz and up to 40 GHz. It has greater autonomy and extended memory capacity, enabling more measurements to be recorded, up to 493,000 measurement points.

“The EME Guard Plus is packed with performance-enhancing features, with better monitoring capacity, a robust design and reliable performance all in one device,” said Nicolas Doare, EIC Division Sales Manager for MVG. “It is the result of over a decade of customer feedback and is an exciting addition to our EME Guard portfolio.”
