Petzl America a provider of safety equipment, announced an updated line of VOLT® harnesses being released in March and will be exhibiting some of the new equipment at NATE UNITE from February 17 – 20 in Raleigh, North Carolina at booth #629. Attendees at NATE will get an opportunity to try on the harness and talk to experts about updated features.
The company said the seat for VOLT harnesses was updated to provide more comfort while working in suspension and offered the following features:
- The VOLT and VOLT WIND® are easy to put on and take off with FAST LT® automatic buckles on the waist belt and leg loops.
- The lightweight and breathable material on the wide, semi-rigid waist belt and leg loops maximizes airflow while also providing support.
- The VOLT model, designed for work on towers and antennas, is constructed with equipment loops along the waist belt for easy tool organization.
- The VOLT WIND model, designed for work inside wind turbine towers, has a dorsal wear protector to reduce wear along the straps.
Petzl’s helmet line has been expanded by offering a wide range of accessories, updated features and new colors. A helmet customization option is now available and allows companies to place their logo or brand on the front, back, top and/or side of the helmets.
Another updated line this year is the ABSORBICA’s®. These fall arrest lanyards connect to the sternal or dorsal attachment point on the harness, and the integrated absorber provides energy absorption in a fall and limits the impact force on the user. Large-opening, aluminum or steel connectors are available depending on requirement. Two lengths are available: 80 cm of rope or 150cm of elasticized webbing.
