The Rohde & Schwarz Mobile Test Summit 2021, slated for October 25 to October 28, brings industry leaders in test & measurement and global 5G together in a virtual conference. The event will feature speakers from Comprion, Deutsche Telekom, MediaTek, Nokia, Picocom, Qualcomm and Viavi, as well as Rohde & Schwarz. The digital conference will provide a platform for knowledge, education and vision around the latest challenges and developments in 5G NR wireless communications.

“With the Mobile Test Summit, Rohde & Schwarz offers a global opportunity for industry professionals to share knowledge and insights that address current industry challenges,” the test & measurement company said. “The agenda includes daily keynotes and live sessions by fellow professionals and test technology specialists, covering the latest developments in mobile device and network infrastructure testing.”

“The roll-out of 5G networks is in full swing and the industry is focusing now on delivering the ultimate 5G experience,” said Alexander Pabst, Vice President Market Segment Wireless Communications at Rohde & Schwarz. “The power of 5G with high bandwidth and real-time capabilities, and the trend for network disaggregation promises a boost to innovation that will enable new business opportunities in several industries.” Speakers will provide insights across the 5G and wireless ecosystem and its test and measurement implications, with six sessions per day between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. CEST.

Day One’s topic is enabling the ultimate 5G device performance, concentrating on delivery and verification of multi-Gbps throughput. The second day’s program discusses the routes to an open virtualized network with OpenRAN and related testing and certification aspects. Day three will cover 5G applications such as voice over NR and location-based services. The last day will have sessions on the role of small cells in 5G and the importance of small cell testing from R&D to production.
