State Wireless Associations Tee It Up “Live” in October

Virginia Wireless Association (VAWA) Golf Outing: October 15 

  • Location: Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA
  • Social: Networking at Kingsmill Resort – 6:00 – 7:30pm (held outside)
  • Benefits: Warriors4Wireless
  • Register: Individuals: $275. Foursome: $1,100, Sponsorships available

Statement: “VAWA teams Up With NATE to Support W4W. Money raised at the tournament will be donated to Warriors4Wireless. For your safety, we will comply with Governor Northam’s Executive Orders regarding COVID-19. The number of players has been reduced from 144 to 128 for the purpose of creating fewer back-ups and speeding up playing time. As of 9-30-20, there are eight foursomes still available. Join us for outside social networking under the big tent,” said VAWA President, Alex Beiro, Jr. 

Pennsylvania Wireless Association West Golf Outing: October 8

  • Location: Quicksilver Golf Club in Midway, PA
  • Social: no social due to COVID
  • Benefits: designated charities
  • Register: Individuals: $250. Foursome: $1,000, Sponsorships available

Statement: “The safety of our participants is our main concern so we will comply with Governor Wolf’s Executive Orders regarding COVID-19. We have reduced the number of players from 144 to 128 in an effort to create fewer back-ups and decrease playing time. We look forward to seeing all of our members at the West Golf Outing,” said Barbara Burba, PWA Vice President. “Thank you all for your support and understanding as we had to postpone many of our outings this year. We hope to get back to our normal schedule of events next year.”

 Texas Wireless Association Golf Outing: October 8 

  • Location: Bear Creek Country Club, 3500 Bear Creek Ct, Dallas, TX
  • Social: no social due to COVID
  • Benefits: designated charities
  • Register: Individuals: $375. Foursome: $1,500, Sponsorships available

Statement: “Rooms available Wednesday night at The Texican Court and plenty of common space to meet in a socially responsible manner as individuals see fit. Cars will be sanitized and power washed before arrival and will be staged six feet apart at shotgun start. Course at 50 percent capacity inside Clubhouse on event spaces. All staff members required to wear masks at all times. All guests required to wear masks while inside the Clubhouse (except while seated at a table consuming food or beverages).”
