The lead attorney general for a group of states that sued to block the T-Mobile acquisition of Sprint says her state will not appeal the verdict. A federal appeals court judge last week approved the transaction, Inside Towers reported.

New York attorney general Letitia James said in a statement the decision was made after careful consideration.

Now, she said, the focus will be to ensure “consumers get the best pricing and service possible, that networks are built-out throughout our state and that good-paying jobs are created.”

James led a coalition of 14 state attorneys general that tried to block the merger on antitrust grounds. T-Mobile expects the deal to close by April 1.
