Tarpon Towers announced late Tuesday that it has entered into an exclusive agreement to market EG America’s “EG” portfolio of over 1,700 convenience stores across the United States. Headquartered in Lakewood Ranch, FL, Tarpon owns and manages wireless communication sites nationwide, including towers, rooftops, ground lease rights, self-storage locations, medical office parks and convenience stores.

“We are excited to add one of the largest portfolios of convenience stores to our ever-expanding, nationwide portfolio of owned and managed communication infrastructure,” said Ron Bizick, CEO and co-founder of Tarpon. “Carriers are expected to invest heavily in their networks over the next several years. EG’s properties will provide them with additional viable and valuable siting solutions for macro towers, small cells, outdoor DAS, and fixed wireless applications,” Bizick said.

EG America has 1,700-plus stores with locations across the United States which include the following banners: Cumberland Farms, Certified Oil, Fastrac, Kwik Shop, Loaf N’ Jug, Minit Mart, Quik Stop, Sprint, Tom Thumb, and Turkey Hill.

“The fact that EG already has multiple carrier antenna installations throughout its property portfolio, yet there has never been a concerted carrier marketing effort, suggests there is an unrealized opportunity here”, said Ken Curley EVP of Corporate Development. Tarpon has long standing relationships with national and regional carriers, government agencies and WISPs. “Our next step is to get these locations in front of all of the mobile network operators for consideration in their current and future network designs,” added Curley. Tarpon will add these locations to its website (www.tarpontowers.com) in the coming weeks.
