The Texas Wireless Association (TXWA) will stop accepting applications for three scholarships on July 19. The scholarships, which are $5,000 each, will be awarded for the Fall 2020 Semester. Scholarship recipients will be announced on or before July 31.
TXWA issued the following criteria for applicants:
- Student must be a relative or family member of a TXWA member and provide a letter from that family member or relative recommending the applicant as a recipient of the TXWA Scholarship.
- Student must be enrolled in and attend an accredited University or College in the State of Texas for the applicable Scholarship Semester (Fall 2020).
- Undergraduate and Graduate students are eligible.
- The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in any course study.
- The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 2.7 to qualify for the scholarship.
- Applicant must meet the above criteria to qualify for candidacy.
- Application Package For Incoming Freshmen Includes: Cover Letter, Application, TXWA Member Reference Letter, Essay, and SAT or ACT test scores plus High School Transcript.
- Incomplete applications WILL NOT be considered.
- Application Package For Undergraduate or Graduate Student Includes: Cover Letter, Application, TXWA Member Reference Letter, College Transcript & College Activities.
- Incomplete applications WILL NOT be considered.
- The deadline for all paperwork (including reference letters) is midnight: July 19, 2020

Scholarship recipients will be contacted and required to provide a copy of a valid Student ID and their respective University Financial Advisors contact information to arrange award payment.
TXWA Scholarship Committee will confirm selected recipients are in attendance as a full-time student at an accredited Texas University/College and academically eligible to release payment. TXWA will pay the awarded amount by August 14. Payment will be made directly to the College/University through coordination with the recipients’ financial advisor.
