A tower worker fell from an estimated height of 145-to-160 feet from a guyed cell tower in Lawrence, NY yesterday and was reportedly conscious when taken to the local hospital, according to WWNY-TV. The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said the accident occurred shortly after 11 a.m. on Ferris Road.
Undersheriff Sean O’Brien, told WWNY-TV a guy wire broke his fall. O’Brien said the man was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital. His name was withheld by the authorities but they said he was a contractor or employee of Skyline 360 of Wolcott, NY. OSHA was given notification of the accident.
