TowerXchange is gearing up for their eighth annual Meetup Americas conference from July 13-15, which is being called “a blended agenda” of virtual and live events. The July 15 conference will be held at the Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel in Boca Raton, FL. Due to covid restrictions, TowerXchange is unable to accept on-site registrations for the face-to-face day, so prior registration is mandatory. To register, click here.

The conference will center on how CALA countries were hit very hard by the recent pandemic and how regional telecom infrastructure players and MNOs are dealing with its effects on connectivity, data demand and investment constraints. Two major trends will be addressed: towercos still eyeing consolidation opportunities with active buyers across the region, and towercos serving MNOs by offering a wider array of solutions to their customers, from energy solutions to access control all the way to fiber to the tower.

In between the networking time, attendees will join two of four roundtable groups focussed around the following topics:

  • Powering 5G: Financial and know-how investments, energy requirements and new site typology
  • How strategic is land acquisition and what have we learned over the past ten years?
  • Who is investing in innovation? Is it too early to speak about edge computing, IoT and towercos’ involvement in RAN?
  • Contract renewal masterclass: are you getting the most of your negotiations?

Towercos and MNOs who have confirmed their attendance for the networking day include SBA Communications, Phoenix Tower International, American Tower, Torrecom, Highline, Andean Telecom Partners, Mexico Tower Partners, Vertical Bridge, Tillman Infrastructure, DigitalBridge, Brazil Tower Company, BTS Towers and MX Towers.

“Due to health and safety protocols, numbers are severely restricted,” Laura Graves, TowerXchange’s Head of Global Content & Research told Inside Towers. “What this means is a highly intimate and exclusive gathering with a close-knit group of top towerco executives.”
