USA Telecom Insurance: They’ve Got You Covered

USA Telecom Insurance Services (USATIS), a full-service program administrator, specializes in nationwide insurance coverage for the telecom industry, exceeding industry insurance requirements by carriers and contractors. The USATIS insurance program is the only “all lines” property and casualty insurance program in the United States with a low minimum premium and very competitive rates.

Bruce Eades, President of USA Telecom Insurance, has been active in the telecom industry for over 20 years, is a member of NATE and many wireless associations at the state level. In 2013, Eades partnered with Dennis Robinson, an experienced commercial insurance agent, now CEO of USA Telecom Insurance, to close a gap they identified between the insurance and telecommunications industries. Both Eades and Robinson found that the insurance industry was lacking when it came to access to standard carriers that would write telecom accounts; most agents placed coverage for these accounts in the surplus market, which is not protected by state-guaranteed funds, plus has more exclusions and restrictions than standard markets.

To remedy this challenge, in 2016, USA Telecom Insurance Services was born. In the two years since it was established, the company has seen a continual growth pattern that gets steeper by the month, thanks to an excellent underwriting staff, aggressive marketing and word of mouth. Coverages offered by USATIS has also continued to grow. Currently, USATIS offers commercial package lines (business automobile, general liability, inland marine, commercial property, crime), workers compensation, excess coverage, drone coverage, pollution coverage and stand-alone inland marine coverage for tower owners. Additionally, USATIS was created as an “open program” so insurance agencies across America have access to their telecom program.

According to Eades, the company is working on a partnership with Avetta as the preferred insurance program for their “marketplace,” available to telecom subscribers. “These are exciting times for USATIS,” said Eades. “We’re still in the early stages of a partnership with Avetta and since we’ve consistently met the insurance requirements of their company to date, we know a joint venture can bring many benefits to their customers.”

Working within the tower industry specifically, USATIS strives to meet the requirements of tower owners, turf vendors, and carriers, since this process can be frustrating and confusing to some agents and the insured. USATIS understands workers compensation coverages and helps to educate agents and the insured on the importance of obtaining all appropriate state coverage. “We’re also able to write coverage for some telecommunications companies where agents otherwise have trouble obtaining compliance,” said Robinson. “We’re proud that we can help different telecom customers attain coverage and protect themselves with various types of business insurance, specific to their industry.”

USA Telecom Insurance Services is located in Gainesville, GA and has an A+ admitted insurance program which meets the contractual demands needed by telecom contractors; plus their program has no minimum premium requirements.
