WIA Announces Staff Promotions

The Wireless Infrastructure Association (WIA) yesterday announced the following promotions of its staff members:

Matt Mandel is promoted from Vice President, Government and Public Affairs to Senior Vice President, Government and Public Affairs. Mandel will continue to lead WIA’s advocacy efforts, including outreach to Congress, federal agencies, and state legislatures. In addition, he will oversee WIA’s external communications and public affairs efforts.    

Marta Sokol is promoted from Vice President of Finance and Administration to Chief Financial Officer. For more than six years, Sokol has overseen all finance and human resource functions at the organization. As CFO, she will continue to lead these vital functions while expanding the organization’s capacity for growth and supporting the association’s federal grant and contract programs.  

Tracy Ford is promoted from Executive Director, Member Services to Vice President, Member Services. Ford guides WIA membership initiatives, including the HetNet Forum. She has spent more than two decades covering the rapidly evolving wireless industry. 

Michael Barrett is promoted from Sales Associate to Senior Associate, Sales and Business Development. Barrett will continue to drive business development efforts for Connect (X) – the Connectivity Expo – the largest 5G infrastructure show in North America. 

“Each of these team members has served as an outstanding leader promoting our industry’s work. They’ve embraced the values of our organization while consistently promoting the development of our association, our members, and our causes going forward,” said WIA President and CEO Jonathan Adelstein. “We are all looking forward to the elevated level of success they’ll bring to our industry and members in these new roles.”
