XPONENTIAL 2018: Where Cutting-Edge Innovation Meets Real-World Application

There is considerable innovation and exciting activity in unmanned systems. Every time you turn on the news, you see something new happening in the industry. The telecom industry is turning to drones for both safety and efficiency as they help mitigate risk. The use cases for drones in telecom are expanding rapidly and the commercial applications are unlimited.

XPONENTIAL 2018 is the destination for those looking to harness the power of unmanned systems. An intersection of cutting-edge innovation and real-world applications, XPONENTIAL is the one event that brings all things unmanned into sharp focus. More than 8,500 professionals, crossing a wide spectrum of industries, are expected to gather in Denver from April 30 through May 3 to participate in four days of forward-thinking, advanced education and networking, and exploring a 370,000-square-foot exhibit hall

Four tracks focused on Policy, Technology, Business Solutions and Trending Topics provide more than 200 unique opportunities for education and learning at XPONENTIAL 2018. Each day features topics and keynotes devoted to various aspects of unmanned systems. Day One focuses on the unmanned economy. Day Two features the unmanned lifestyle and Day Three emphasizes using unmanned systems for good.

Day One – The Unmanned Economy

As the futuristic world of unmanned systems, intelligent robotics and drones unfolds, what may once have seemed like science fiction is now becoming a reality. Make sure to plan to attend the Unmanned Economy Keynote that takes place on Tuesday, May 1 at 9:00 a.m. as we highlight how these technologies are changing the way we work, live and play, and examine the significant impact unmanned systems will have on our lives in years to come. Headlining speakers and industry thought-leaders will discuss how unmanned systems are shaping Big Industry, where opportunities are emerging, how our community will address important challenges, and how we’ll prepare ourselves for the “work of the future.”

Day Two – The Unmanned Lifestyle

The age of AI, digital connectivity, automation and intelligent machines has arrived. Even though the “Jetson lifestyle” isn’t upon us just yet, technology advancements have drastically changed our lives in just a few short years.  Our Wednesday keynotes will continue to build on the ideas and concepts presented on day one as we explore the cross-section between technology and society. From the emergence of AI in our everyday lives, to the prospects of on-demand automated mobility, and everything in between, we will explore what these advancements mean for us today, and what the future holds tomorrow.

Day Three – Unmanned for Good

In the wake of multiple hurricanes, wildfires and other natural disasters last year, unmanned systems across all domains became widely recognized as the future of disaster relief. From search and rescue to humanitarian missions, unmanned technologies were utilized around the world providing aid to those who needed it most.

Our Thursday keynotes are dedicated to the humanitarian and public safety communities and the responders who risk their lives every day to make us all safer.  The AUVSI XCELLENCE Humanitarian award recipients will be announced during a special ceremony followed by an interactive discussion with first responders who conducted numerous unmanned missions in response to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria as well as the recent wildfires.

Throughout the entire conference, there will be technical sessions and panels discussing the latest unmanned systems developments including AI and machine learning, big data, cybersecurity, ground robotics, public safety and security and much more. Theater presentations in the exhibit hall will also provide attendees with the knowledge, and power, they are seeking to get ahead.

As the largest gathering of professionals in the unmanned systems and robotics industry, there will be representatives from more than 20 vertical markets. From agriculture to energy, mapping and surveying to oil and gas, and construction to telecommunications, there will be opportunities for establishing new relationships and enhancing existing ones.

The show floor at XPONENTIAL 2018 will be the largest ever. Attendees will have the chance to experience hands-on exhibits, interactive demos, and never-before-seen products and devices from more than 725 companies and organizations that are advancing the unmanned systems industry with innovative products and solutions.

And something new for this year is XBuild, a buildathon/hackathon, which will take place just before the start of XPONENTIAL 2018 in nearby Boulder, Colorado. Imagine the excitement and energy that will be generated when the most imaginative and technological minds in the unmanned systems and robotics industry gather for a weekend with all the parts and materials necessary to innovate, collaborate, and create solutions that are only limited by their creativity and the clock.

If your professional future is in the unmanned field, XPONENTIAL 2018 is where you want to be. Join 8,500 thought leaders from across the spectrum of unmanned systems and robotics to share ideas, gain insight and witness groundbreaking innovation. It’s a spot where the possibilities are endless and the promise is extraordinary. You won’t want to miss it. Learn more at xponential.org.
