Dynamic Environmental Associates: Peer Power and Industry Expertise

Dynamic Environmental Associates (DEA) has provided environmental consulting services to tower companies, wireless carriers, broadcasting companies, and related vendors since 1993. This strong, multi-disciplinary firm, led by David Jermakian relies on the expertise of its engineers, scientists, archaeologists, preservationists, and environmental consultants to fulfill its promise of “Experience, Commitment, Quality, and Innovation.”

Unlike many top heavy organizations with multiple layers of bureaucracy, DEA’s personnel work together as peers. Every project, regardless of size, receives the direct attention of senior level personnel, including Jermakian and Vice President, Adrian Berezowsky. “When a client calls, they are able to speak with me, Adrian, or another senior staff person who will give them immediate support,” said Jermakian. “There is no company that exceeds our dedication, level of customer service, degree of attention by senior personnel, or level of effort. We set ourselves apart and have proven our ability to resolve any environmental concern, based on our four cornerstones of experience, commitment, quality, and innovation.”

Strengthening an already impressive portfolio of services and experience, Jermakian recently announced the appointment of Berezowsky, who brings over 13 years of wireless infrastructure expertise to DEA. Berezowsky was a founding member of IVI Telecom Services, Inc., a nationwide environmental consulting firm (which was acquired by CBRE, Inc. in 2014) and the former President and founder of BirchCo, Inc. BirchCo’s environmental and regulatory practice is now merged under the DEA name.

With regional operations throughout the U.S., DEA is able to quickly and cost-effectively provide expert services regardless of geographical location. This extensive people power has driven thousands of Environmental Due Diligence and NEPA Assessments for site locations throughout the country.

DEA provides a full range of professional environmental services often required for wireless infrastructure projects, including:

  • Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
  • Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint Surveys
  • Contamination Remediation
  • NEPA Assessments
  • Section 106 Reviews
  • Native American Tribal Consultation
  • Cultural Resource Surveys
  • Wetland Delineations and Permitting
  • Threatened & Endangered Species Surveys
  • Migratory Bird Assessments
  • Mitigation of Environmental and Historic Impacts
  • Environmental Compliance Programs
  • Risk Reduction Assessments

Compliance regulations are notoriously complicated. DEA, however, simplifies and streamlines the process for clients by fully understanding the requirements of the Federal Communications Commission and other reviewing agencies. It also maintains strong working relationships with SHPO offices, Tribes, USFWS and other federal, state and local agencies.

Discussing his business outlook for 2020 and beyond COVID-19, at the time of our interview Jermakian indicated that we are all in unchartered waters but he is still projecting moderate growth due to 5G rollout. “We’ve seen some challenges on the front end of infrastructure development due to COVID-19, but we’re not slowing down. We remain committed to keeping our people safe and healthy while also helping our clients do their jobs and meet their goals,” he said. “We continue to apply efficiencies and our clients appreciate all we do to keep projects on time and to speed up deployment within municipalities.”

Jermakian added, “As long as everyone is able to keep moving forward, it should be a good year.”

DEA is headquartered in Macon, GA and has regional offices in West Palm Beach, FL, Tampa, FL, Baltimore, MD, Hartford, CT, Boston, MA, Poughkeepsie, NY and Orange County, CA and local staff in cities across the country.
