IXUS, a leader in RF safety compliance management, today announced an upcoming webinar, “EMF-Aware Planning of 5G Network Rollouts.” The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 4 at 9:30 a.m. PST.

In this brief webinar, IXUS assesses practical case studies for resolving common problems with 5G network rollouts and explains how the IXUS software suite can provide a cost-effective, timely process to do so.

Large-scale network rollouts for 5G are on the rise across the globe. Network planners are under more pressure than ever to reach targets while staying within CAPEX budgets.

“It was a lot cheaper and easier to do the same work for 4G,” according to Johan Nel, from IXUS. “Planners could swap out equipment on current base stations, and there wasn’t this level of densification that places the load on site acquisition. Also, similar to what we’ve seen with 3G, this rollout requires new antenna models to be installed in conjunction with the old ones.”

With 5G technology, the Electromagnetic Field (EMF) exposure limitations can cause additional headache, according to IXUS, as a result of the dynamic, multi-beam nature of the antennas. EMF-aware planning is therefore becoming increasingly more important.  Register for the webinar to learn more. Space is limited.

IXUS is part of Alphawave Group, which also supports FieldSENSE, a leader in RF safety devices for tower climbers. The team of EMF and RF experts have been active in the field of communication network safety services since 2005. Based near Cape Town in South Africa, IXUS has an international presence and is recognized as an industry leader in radio frequency compliance.
