The Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA), the national association and leading advocate for business enterprises and private carriers that rely on wireless communications systems, announced today the lineup of keynote speakers for its 2020 Wireless Leadership Summit. The Summit will be held virtually, October 13-15, 2020.
The Wireless Leadership Summit provides decision makers in the private wireless industry an opportunity to reflect on current industry trends and expectations, and how they can be harnessed for ongoing success. This year’s keynote speakers will address a variety of impactful technological and business issues.
Ira Keltz, Federal Communications Commission
What are the technological and other challenges to future spectrum sharing? What spectrum bands are the next likely candidates for sharing? Ira Keltz, Deputy Chief of the FCC Office of Engineering and Technology, will provide constructive feedback regarding the FCC’s view in “Spectrum Sharing: A Technological Perspective.”
Dr. Theodore (Ted) Rappaport, NYU Wireless
Ted Rappaport, a wireless entrepreneur, inventor with more than 100 patents, and educator at the forefront of international land mobile radio and cellular communications innovation, will discuss “The Transition from 5G to 6G and its Impact.” He is the founder and director of NYU Wireless, a multidisciplinary research center focused on the future of wireless communications and applications.
Brian Solis, Salesforce
Digital anthropologist, futurist, and best-selling author Brian Solis will explore how the convergence of automation, artificial intelligence, industrial IoT, 5G, and virtual reality/augmented reality (VR/AR) will augment and revolutionize how we work during his talk “Automation and the Future of Human + Machine Innovation.” Brian is the Global Innovation Evangelist for Salesforce and the author of eight books on the future of technology and its impact on business.
In addition to these keynote sessions, the 2020 Wireless Leadership Summit program explores new opportunities and trends in areas that affect the private land mobile radio industry such as cybersecurity; post-COVID-19 workforce strategies; and recently introduced broadband solutions that utilize the Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) (3.5 GHz) and 900 MHz.
