Privately-owned tower and wireless infrastructure company InSite Wireless Group said Tuesday that Tony Sabatino, former Chief Technology Officer and President of Business Development Telecom at Sabre Industries, will join InSite as its President and Chief Strategy Officer.

With Sabre, Sabatino was responsible for deploying 4G wireless networks across the United States for all major carriers. He previously led the deployment of more than 3,000 3G and LTE sites across North America. Tony worked on the FirstNet white paper for the U.S. government as an Advisor/Fellow under the CTO to the President of the United States. Sabatino joined Sprint PCS in 1995, and was a founding member of the SPCS corporate launch team.

“We are excited to bring Tony on board. He has served on InSite’s board since its inception and truly is a wireless innovator, with over 25 years of experience,” said InSite CEO David Weisman. “Tony’s technology background and carrier relations will be a significant asset to InSite as we continue to grow and work to be a solutions partner to our customers.”
