Greenup County, KY is preparing to expand its infrastructure to accommodate the upcoming $1.3 billion Braidy Industries aluminum rolling mill.
The Daily Independent reports that Greenup County Economic Development Director Bobby Allen said the county is looking at internet access and cell towers, beyond physical infrastructure like roads and bridges. He says the county is putting in a new IP-based phone system.
He says residents could potentially expect 10 to 30 spinoff facilities associated with the mill, which will employ 550 workers.
