Grow with Your Data: A Low-Code Approach

Digital infrastructure projects have grown increasingly complex, spanning wireless, fiber, towers, and beyond. For many organizations, managing this work has long meant juggling spreadsheets, siloed databases, and disconnected workflows. That’s where OneVizion has found its niche, helping companies move away from fragmented systems and toward a single, scalable platform.

Paul Alder, Vice President-Delivery at OneVizion, explained that the platform has been evolving for nearly two decades, beginning as a solution for large-scale projects and gradually expanding into new sectors as demand grew. “It’s a low-code environment, cloud-based platform that we build for and design for our customers to help them organize and control their data,” he said. Low code refers to the platform that can be configured with minimal traditional programming, allowing project managers or administrators to adapt workflows and fields without needing a team of developers.

Many clients arrive after struggling with piecemeal tools. “Customers have taken their complex infrastructure programs and projects and replaced, in some cases, just the spreadsheets that they use. And this helps consolidate those complex projects into a single source of truth location.” The OneVizion platform utilizes Linked Record Architecture® to simplify the connection of data, reflecting the real-world relationships between projects, assets, and stakeholders.

Support That Scales

For Alder, customization is key to OneVizion’s value. They begin implementation of the tool by having the customer identify administrators. “We want those individuals to be comfortable modifying or tweaking the tool,” said Alder.

That flexibility allows customers to adapt the platform to their own processes. “We give them initial solutions that are pre-configured and baseline,” according to Alder, who explained the users can then adjust settings and preferences as needed, tailored to their specific needs and internal requirements.

Some clients prefer OneVizion’s hands-on support. “Some customers don’t have the headcount or experience with these types of tools. We have customers that engage us daily.” And that way works too, according to Alder. OneVizion stands ready to assist, guiding its partners step by step. “We help them tackle the project at hand and prepare for the next.”

Alder stressed that either approach allows customers to grow with their data. OneVizion works with corporations that have IT specialists on hand to handle complex processes. But it also works with ‘Mom and Pop shops,’ and sole proprietors that don’t have access to that level of support.

New Digital Infrastructure Asset Classes & The AI Impact

As the digital infrastructure landscape evolves, OneVizion adapts. Initially, the company worked primarily with carriers, then expanded to pureplay towercos. Over time, small cell infrastructure started to be deployed. Most recently, OneVizion expanded into the fiber business.

The platform’s architecture allows for these interconnections. “Customers have disparate systems managing different segments of their business,” said Alder. They need them to be combined and connected for optimal efficiency and communication. OneVizion can synthesize the systems for “seamless integration.” This can encompass various asset classes, cross-functional departments, and other internal software.

Looking ahead, Alder emphasized scalability. “We’re always looking to improve on the platform,” he explained. OneVizion is continually configuring its proprietary software to address new pain points, customer challenges and innovations.

That includes AI. “AI is huge. AI is so complex. It’s software, but it’s also something that can be leveraged and make customers’ platform of data very unique and specialized. There are things that AI will be able to do within the product that help our customers solve even more complex projects,” said Alder. “We’re learning and we’re growing with it.”

According to OneVizion, its platform is engineered to integrate effortlessly with next-generation technologies and its architecture is inherently compatible with AI-driven tools. Organizations can adopt automation and predictive analytics without needing to overhaul their entire infrastructure.

A Partnership Beyond the Platform

For Alder, the customer relationship is just as important as the product. “I am energized by customers that come to us with a unique ask or obstacle, and we get a chance to ideate and collaborate.”

This partnership process eliminates silos. In fact, prior to joining OneVizion, Alder was first a customer, employing OneVizion at another organization as a Project Manager. He testified that, “It eliminated the blame game and finger pointing,” he said. It encouraged a team mentality, “because there was simply no better way to execute on a complex project.”

OneVizion often describes itself with a simple phrase: “our blocks, your blueprint” and says it refuses to fit clients into a predefined model. Alder agreed, summing it up simply, “We give our customers an opportunity to grow with their data, and they know their data best.”
