The Board of Helios Towers last week announced that, after six years as Chief Executive Officer, Kash Pandya has made the decision to retire in April 2022. Following his retirement as CEO, Kash will move into a new role as a non-executive Deputy Chair.

Tom Greenwood, currently COO and previously CFO, has been appointed CEO-designate with immediate effect, and will formally take up the Chief Executive Officer role from Pandya in April. Greenwood has overseen acquisitions into six new markets.

“During Kash’s tenure, Helios Towers has completed a successful IPO, transitioning to operating as a public company, expanded operations from four markets to eleven and implemented systematic operational improvements, making the Company a market-leading operator across Africa and the Middle-East with best-in-class power uptime delivery,” said Helios Chairman of the Board, Sir Sam Jonah.
