Ricky Price, the NBC affiliate’s director of technology, said that since the airplane hit the tower that KCBD equipment was on, eight different Raycom Media stations have sent technology to the station in Lubbock, Texas. He’s had trucks showing up every day with equipment for a temporary antenna. Until the original tower is up and running, KCBD is hoping to use a tower that was once used by an analog UHF station that is owned by American Tower. The station will resume broadcasting from their tower on its channel 11 in the coming days by using a one-bay antenna and a low-power digital transmitter.
