Cameron Lanier, Director of Marketing and Media Communications at Gamma Electronics led a webinar yesterday on the item that may be carrying the lifeblood of your network: cables.
Gamma Electronics, founded in 2006 and based in Pomona, CA, produces a line of cable protection, assembly and identification products. Lanier, covered a diverse agenda of subjects such as breaking down the pros and cons of the different RF cables, testing and measurement methods, and how to utilize these tests to ensure best results for network usage. He also discussed principles such as insertion loss versus return loss (aka, VSWR) and how additional loss comes from longer, thinner (GNR 195 vs LMR 400) cables. The webinar will soon be available on Gamma Electronics’ YouTube page, or you can register to view the recording here.
