New Lobbyist for USTelecom

USTelecom—The Broadband Association, appointed Kristine Fargotstein as Vice President, Policy and Advocacy. Fargotstein joins the national broadband group from the FCC where she worked on a range of communications, technology and connectivity issues.

Fargotstein will advocate on behalf of USTelecom members before the White House and Executive Branch, regulatory agencies, courts and other government entities in Washington, D.C. and state capitals. USTelecom SVP Policy and Advocacy Patrick Halley characterized Fargotstein as a “high-caliber addition” to the team. “While at the FCC and on Capitol Hill, Kristine has been front and center leading the discussion on the important debates shaping the future of connectivity. She knows the power of broadband to connect and transform families, communities and enterprises.”

Fargotstein held several roles at the FCC, including Acting Wireline Advisor to Chairman Ajit Pai, Special Counsel in the Office of General Counsel, Legal Advisor to the Wireline Bureau Chief, and Attorney Advisor in the Wireline Competition Bureau. Most recently, she was detailed to the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s Communications and Technology Subcommittee, where she worked on broadband infrastructure, net neutrality and spectrum.
