Newest Member of FCC Transition Team Has Telecom, Commission Expertise

screen-shot-2017-01-11-at-9-45-35-amAtlanta-based attorney Carolyn Tatum Roddy is the newest member of President-elect Donald Trump’s FCC transition team. That’s according to the landing team page which is periodically updated.

Roddy has a background in telecom law; she’s worked as regulatory counsel for Sprint in the southeast and as director for regulatory affairs for the Satellite Industry Association. She was an FCC attorney for 12 years, according to her LinkedIn page, representing the Commission in rulemakings, licensing, tariff and enforcement proceedings involving wireline, wireless and public safety communications.


Roddy began her career on the Hill, where she was a legislative director and chief legislative assistant for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

The addition makes Roddy the fifth member of Trump’s FCC transition team, following Republic Wireless and Bandwidth co-founder David Morken, as well as American Enterprise Institute fellows Jeffrey Eisenach, Mark Jamison and Roslyn Layton, Inside Towers reported.
