Bob Heymann of Media Services Group, a media and tower brokerage firm, has been retained by Poole Properties to explore the possible sale of the historic Poole Tower Complex. This complex is one of the last family-owned sites to operate at Mount Wilson in California, the most famous multi-tower broadcasting location in America. The towers could net anything between $5 million and $10 million, the Los Angeles Business Journal reported.  “Rising almost 6,000 feet above the Pacific Ocean, the Poole Tower Complex was first developed in the 1950’s by the late legendary Los Angeles broadcaster John H. Poole. In 1952, Mr. Poole was granted the first commercial UHF television construction permit in Los Angeles for KBIK Channel 22. In 1953, the station moved to Mt. Wilson and changed call letters to KBIC-TV. In 1959, the Complex became home to Poole-owned KBIG-FM,” Heymann explained. Among the current tenants at the Poole Tower Complex today are iHeartMedia’s KBIG-FM and KYSR-FM, MundoFOX 22 KWHY-TV and KXOS-FM.
