Heather Gastelum, Senior Manager, National Site Safety at T-Mobile will be an Inside Towers Pro Panelist on Thursday, June 3 at 2 pm ET (Register here.) Gastelum will share her insights around Workforce Development.

Gastelum has more than 25 years of experience in wireless telecommunications. She is newly appointed to the Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program (TIRAP) advisory board, was appointed to the inaugural National Wireless Safety Alliance Board of Governors and is an active member of the National Association of Tower Erectors (NATE) Wireless Safety Task Force. She was one of three honored with the prestigious Chairman’s Coin award, recognizing individuals who have provided excellent dedication and service to the mission of NATE.

Gastelum sits on the Tower Industry Association’s (TIA) TR-14 Structural Committee, the TIA UAS (drone) Committee, the Women of NATE (WON) Committee and is the Washington State Liaison on the Wireless Industry Network (WIN). She is also the Lean-In co-lead to the Women’s Leadership Network at T-Mobile’s headquarters office in Bellevue, WA.

Prior to her current role while on a temporary assignment, she managed – over an eleven-month timeframe – the L700 overlay launch of 250+ sites in T-Mobile’s Seattle market. In her site development management role, her team added more than 550 on-air sites in fewer than 12 months.

During her eleven-plus years of employment with T-Mobile, Gastelum has been responsible for the portfolio of T-Mobile Towers, including more than 8,000 owned assets, management of field and office personnel, oversight of tower modification and customer colocation installation, and compliance standards implementation. T-Mobile Towers was sold in 2012 for $2.4 billion – a price attributable in part to Gastelum’s leadership in growing the portfolio’s value.

A lifelong equestrian, Gastelum and her family are residents of Washington state.
