Smartlink, a national telecom services and staffing company headquartered in Annapolis, donated 50 new iPads to the Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) Family Coordinator Program.

“Every day, throughout the nation, our teams are developing networks that keep America connected. One of the key values of our company is “Linking it Forward” and giving back to the communities we live and work in,” said Jason Campbell, Smartlink’s Chief Operating Officer. “We are honored as an organization to donate technology that keeps patients connected and gives back to our community.”

As part of Smartlink’s Keeping America Connected effort, the company turned to local healthcare provider, AAMC, to offer support. Faced with the challenges of COVID-19, AAMC saw the need for patients to connect with their loved ones during a time where birthing mothers, chemotherapy patients, those in Acute Care for the Elderly unit, and COVID-19 patients all need and want to be virtually connected to their families, when in-person visitors are restricted. Launching the program with only four iPads, Smartlink’s donation will allow this program and the AAMC coordinators who fuel it, to serve significantly more patients. Watch the video here.
