Starks Spitting Case Will Go To Trial

Cindy Brown of Starks, Maine allegedly spit on First Selectman Paul Frederic outside a planning board meeting in August after the committee discussed a possible cell tower that would be built near Brown’s property. Brown has entered a plea of ‘not guilty’ and this dispute will go to trial next month. It’s scheduled for 8:30am, Monday, February 3rd. Since the proposal was submitted by Bay Communications in June to construct a tower, Cindy and her Husband, Harry, have been vocal about their extreme opposition. The Browns appeal has delayed the construction of the cell tower, which was supposed to be completed last fall. The tower would be 195-feet tall and improve AT&T coverage in the area as well as allow other companies to lease space on the tower.
