Two individuals who allegedly set fire to a 5G cell tower last May have been apprehended by Texas Rangers. As MSN reports, 19-year-old Coley Lane Dupre has admitted to her role in the incident and has identified her accomplice as 28-year-old Sean Smith. Dupre has been charged with arson for her participation in the event, though she claims she merely served as the lookout.

According to Dupre, the man in the orange vest and white hard hat who was caught on surveillance video was her partner Sean Smith. The person in the film footage can be seen setting fire to the 5G tower. Smith has yet to be officially charged with this crime, though he is currently incarcerated at the Bexar County Jail facing weapons and drug possession charges and is accused of tampering with evidence. He is being held without bond.

Dupre chose to waive her rights and agreed to speak with the Texas Rangers about the cell tower fire, according to MSN. She has indicated to law enforcement that setting fire to the tower was an expression of Smith’s “anti-government views.” An unnamed witness who pointed out Dupre and Smith as possible suspects said that Smith was on a mission to “burn down 5G cell towers.”

Conspiracy theorists around the globe are responsible for many acts of vandalism against cell towers, MSN reports. They believe that 5G transmissions emit dangerous radiation and cause the spread of COVID, although Smith and Dupre have not specified the reason behind their agenda against cell towers.
