A crew member working on a radio tower on Mt. Rainsares Road in Lamar Township, PA, fell 90 feet to his death Friday morning. According to The Express, the worker, Matthew Vance, was part of a five man crew working on the tower when he fell. The news outlet reported that Police Chief Martin Salinas said a LifeFlight was called to the scene around 11 a.m. but was soon cancelled. Vance was then taken to Lock Haven Hospital, but it was unclear if he died at the scene or the hospital. The Express did speculate in an update that “the work was likely being done in connection with an agreement between Clinton County and Vigilant Global Telecommunications Co., for the construction of a new Mt. Rainsares 911 emergency communications tower.”
