Earlier this week, the Great Falls Public School District in Montana approved a request to lease a portion of a school’s bell tower to Verizon. Verizon will now be able to install an antenna at the Great Falls High School. KRTV-TV reported, “Brian Patrick, GFPS director of business operations, says they’ve been working with Verizon for about a year to figure out logistics and design. The tower will not be visible from the outside; that decision was made in order to protect the integrity of the historic building.” Verizon will pay $24,000 a year, which will increase 3% each year and go into the Building Fund. “With Great Falls High being an older building, it definitely will need tender loving care and attention, and this revenue will help address a lot of issues in the building,” said Patrick.
