As 5G use grows, the densification of the nodes will become more critical to carrier networks, leading to greater demand for small cells. Valmont Site Pro 1 will hold a webinar at 2 p.m. EST, December 9, on “Small Cells: Key Developments & Design Considerations.” During this one-hour session, host Luke Ferguson, Applications Engineering Manager, Valmont Site Pro 1, will discuss the proper design, engineering and validation of small cell infrastructure to meet today’s standards and tomorrow’s 5G demand.

The panel will discuss the importance of aesthetics to the deployment of small cells and how to seamlessly integrate 5G into a community while maintaining the city’s unique identity. Engineers will also take a deep dive into the best practices for meeting industry design standards such as UL, Telcordia, AASHTO and TIA. Additionally, this webinar will take an inside look at the rigorous environmental testing Valmont Site Pro 1 uses to validate small cell structures for real-world applications, as well as why a speedy deployment process is necessary when adding small cells to a network.

When it comes to small cell, everything is developing very quickly – technologies are advancing, standards are being ascertained, and designs must be carefully scrutinized in order to meet 5G ambitions and market objectives. Given the ever-changing nature of small cell, we felt it would be pertinent to provide a deep dive on the subject to shine a light on these new advancements. We are extremely excited and confident that this will be an educational, value-packed hour for all those in attendance,” says Louis Podesta, Director of Marketing at Valmont Telecom

Valmont Telecom and Valmont Site Pro 1 small cell engineers, designers and leadership will be on hand to answer questions, and engineers may use this webinar toward an hour of continuing education.
